As of 1/3/18 there is still time to contribute and receive a tax credit for 2018.

Effective January 1, 2018 individuals and corporations will be able to donate money and receive a 75% tax credit from Illinois if their donation is directed to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). Please consider donating in the name of St. Bede School.

If you are willing and able to donate dollars and get 75% back in a state tax credit for 2018 please consider donating to the EMPOWER ILLINOIS Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO).

First, you’ll need to set up an account at www.mytax.illinois.gov

Once you have an account, you can then apply for a tax credit on www.mytax.illinois.gov.

Please remember to donate to Illinois Region #2 and indicate EMPOWER ILLINOIS SGO and to indicate that you want your donation to go to St. Bede School – Ingleside, IL.

Whatever amount you donate to the SGO must be sent in within 60 days. The SGO will then send you a tax credit certificate to use when filing your 2018 return.
